Growing Up Wild is a 20 Episode children's educational program released from 1992 to 1993. It was produced by the BBC and was distributed by Time Life Video on VHS via a bimonthly mailing subscription service. Each episode features live action clips and sequences of a particular group of animals unique to the episode, presented with narration from Paul W. Smith and split up by brief animated segments of the series' mascot, Madison, a purple anthropomorphic cat who is shown to be controlling the live action footage with his remote control. The series has an underlying focus on juvenile animals with how they are raised by their parents and develop the skills and behaviors needed for their survival. It was designed to provide educational material about animals and wildlife for younger audiences.

Most of these episodes were ripped directly from the 2004-2005 Time Life DVD releases, which altogether feature nearly every episode in the series. The one exception is the third episode, "Happy Hoofers", which was only released on VHS and was not a part of any DVD release.

All footage belongs to BBC Enterprises Ltd., which has since been restructured into BBC Worldwide Ltd.
