E-Bass legend Alphonso Johnson* (ex-Weather Report) joins Jonas Hellborg (bass) and Steve Bailey (6-string fretless bass) on a Warwick showcase in Hannover at the P.P.C. store to perform his song "Bahama Mama". In the intro he quotes his famous and often sampled bassline of "Cucumber Slumber" from the Weather Report album "Mysterious Traveller" (1974). The silver fretless 4-string model Alphonso uses here is a special edition made for him only. - They all are Warwick endorsers except drummer Chester Thompson (ex-Frank Zappa, Weather Report, Genesis). - *Back in 1975 Alphonso used to team up with Chester on Weather Reports landmark album "Black Market". It also was the time when Jaco Pastorius joined the band to take over from Alphonso who left WR to play with George Duke and Billy Cobham.
