I don't have a specific perch catching rod and reel, you can use your typical bass setup or go even lighter with an ultralight rod and reel. In this video I used the Penn Fierce 4000 size. It is a great overall rod because it can handle big catfish, and still gives me the sensitivity to feel the nibbles of the perch. The Penn Battle 2 gives you a smoother retrieval.
