1) borne by Olivier of Pau, France close to the border with Spain – found in London, Clifton, and Bedfordshire - Argent an olive tree proper. Crest – On a wreath, an esquire’s helmet proper.
2) Cornwall - Argent on a mount vert an oak tree proper fructed Or. Crest – An arm embowed in armour holding in the hand a sprig of oak fructed proper.
3) granted Benjamin Oliver of to Exeter, co. Devon in 1671 - Ermine on a chief sable three lions rampant argent. Crest – A lion’s head erased ermines, collared and ringed argent.
4) Edward Oliver (1685-1746), son of John of Bristol, came from Bristol but also had lands at Musbery, co. Devon. His son, Hungerford Oliver lived in co. Worcestershire and had six daughters and two sons. One son, Edward Oliver (d. 1837) inherited Wollescote Hall, Stourbridge, co. Worcester from his maternal grandfather - Ermine on a chief sable three lions rampant argent. Crest – A demi lion gules.

Crest – A martlet argent in the beak a sprig vert.
10) William Oliver of Dinlabyre in Liddesdale (1738-1830) Sheriff of Selkirk and later Roxburgh – father of William Oliver Rutherford (1781-1878), Esq. of Edgerston, in the county of Roxburgh which he inherited from his uncle John Rutherfurd in 1834 - Argent two chevrons gules between three martlets sable in chief and a heart crowned in base proper. Crest – A dexter arm proper vested argent turned up gules grasping an olive branch fructed proper.
