Touhou The Sea Where One’s Home Planet Reflects Remix

Описание к видео Touhou The Sea Where One’s Home Planet Reflects Remix

The last LoLK composition for the Touhou GarageBand special comes from the final stage theme, The Sea Where One’s Home Planet Reflects. The heroine traverses the Sea of Tranquility on the far side of the Moon, where a lone divine spirit Junko awaits…

Special thanks to maisuiren for the wonderful fanart of Junko. This was picture perfect for the theme, even though I would like to have one with the sea…

My note:
What I felt in this composition was sadness and loneliness. I guess that is what Junko felt losing her son… Her story is such a tragic tale… Capturing the sadness of this song was quite difficult with the instrumentation. I had to figure out what instruments that can convey the feelings of this song. In the end, it worked out pretty nicely. But then as soon as I heard the Dr. Latency’s Freak Report version, things started to change up a bit, so I ended up adding part of that version because the key change will serve as leitmotif for the beginning of Junko’s theme. Pretty neat, huh? And it turned out so well in this composition! To add, I also put in an original addition to the song while the erhu plays solo to match the key change transitioning to the DLFR version. If there are any minimal mistakes, please let me know.

Kudos to VierMill for requesting this song! Many thanks to you, this composition was fun to make! Hope you’re still listening out there… Originally, this song was requested for the 200 subscriber special, but was ultimately not chosen due to a tie between two songs.

It’s almost over isn’t it…? So much time has passed, and it doesn’t feel real. But nonetheless, I’m glad you guys are still listening to my compositions so far. Through these years, you’ve given me so much love and support, and I appreciate all your patience in the struggle of finishing my 500 subscriber special. The last one is Mayumi’s theme: Joutounin of Ceramics! Look forward to the final entry of the 500 subscriber special! Oh, did I also mention more PC-98 music as well? Look forward to that too!

Whoever disliked it is gonna feel Junko’s wrath. To the 2 users, why did you do it?
