Writing hopeful lyrics has been a struggle the last few years. I had several bits and pieces of an idea I'd been working on for weeks, but this morning (2.28) I woke up and had the last melody I needed to tie it together.

Sometimes life feels like it goes from one bad movie or song to another, with a few nice ones in between. But for me, it's all one big symphony, with a beginning, and end, and movements between. An otherwise unserious, comical movie named Just Married featured a young Ashton Kutcher who's character wanted to learn how to love his new wife. His dad told him something that stayed with me for all these years: "You never see the hard times in a photo album. But those are the ones that get you from one happy snapshot to the next." In music, these are the verses and chorus to me.

This recording is incomplete, as I am looking for the right voices for a duet through the bridge.
