How To Install INTELLITRONIX digital dash 73-79 Ford F100

We didn't realize when we set out to install a new Intellitronix digital gauges in the F100 that the instructions would be less than good. There wasn't much information online, so we decided that we'd make a quick video to lighten the load on other folks. It's a bit more involved than the Dakota Digital installation, but it's easily doable. The hardest part is knowing the wire combinations, and we've done that for you. Enjoy your new gauges.

Wire colors from the original cluster

Green w/ white stripe = Left Turn Signal
White w/ blue stripe = Right Turn Signal
White w/ red stripe = Oil
Green w/red stripe = Alternator.
Purple w/ white stripe = Brake light
Pink= Seatbelt
Green w/blackstripe= Highbeams
Orange= Fuel

Connections From Intellitronix Dash to existing wires

NOTE*- If you have a 3G Alternator installed, you'll need to connect the Green w/red stripe wire to a 12v SWITCHED power supply. The original cluster powered the exciter wire through the ALT Lamp. However, you just removed it. So, take the existing Green w/red stripe wire and connect it to a 12v SWITCHED power supply. After you remove the original cluster, there are a couple of wires that aren't used by your new Intellitronix unit, use a test light, test them for power and whether or not it's switched and voila! You're all set.

Speed Sensor- Run White, Red, Black wires from speed sensor location back to dash. Red connects to switched power, Black is ground, white goes into Intellitronix unit.

Temp Sensor- Run single blue wire from temp sensor back to Intellitronix

Tach- Run single green wire to tach back to intellitronix. (If you don't have existing tach)

Oil Pressure= Run 2 wires to oil pressure sensor. Color of your choice and black for ground. Black goes to ground, other color connects to intellitronix digital dash

Orange white w/ red stripe
Grey w/black green w/white stripe
Yellow (fuel) orange
White (Run this wire from speed sensor)
Purple (Run wire to drivers side prkng lght front fender)
Green (tach) (Run if no existing tachometer)
Blue. (temp) (Run single wire to temp sensor location
Red (12v+ power) (Connect to switched power source)
Brown (Green w/black stripe)
