Since 1950s, India has always been interested in the matters of Antarctica - the only continent with no native population. But, it did not have any say since it was not one among the 12 countries that were part of the Antarctic treaty. This is the story of how India managed to get a seat in the exclusive club in 1980s.

Dr.Harsh Gupta, the leader of third expedition to Antarctica remembers his time on the continent, where his team managed to build India's first research station, Dakshin Gangotri.
