Welcome to Good Hope Cannery in Rivers Inlet, BC.

This week we all packed a lunch and headed over to Wadhams to clean in and around the cabins.
Wadhams is another old cannery site with lots of history. These days it is the place where we walk the Newfies and pick berries.

Dwayne showed us how his parents used to cook salmon on a fire and Yvonne and I were able to prepare one as well. I can't wait to try this again on there fish that I catch. Maybe even a trout.
All you need are cedar sticks and hay wire, Although if you were out in the bush you could probably replace the wire with a young sapling or something.

We had an amazing day together hanging at the beach with our own banjo player, Randy.

This movie ends with a little sadness as I reveal what washed up into the bay last week. It was a really sad morning dealing with it. Ted called the Wildlife officers to find out how to deal with our find. We checked the animal to make sure there were no signs of human harm. It looked like whatever happened was natural but still very unfortunate and sad.

If you are sensitive to death and dead animals, I suggest you skip the last part of the video.

As always, Thank you SO much for watching. Subscribe to stay updated with what's happening up here this summer at Good Hope Cannery in Rivers Inlet.

Take care until next time!!
