THE best day hike in the whole of South Korea. We love it so much we've done it three times already. In a country obsessed with hiking, this absolute stunner is relatively unknown. If you're travelling or living in Korea, don't miss an adventure to Saryangdo Island.

Prepare yourself for 360° panoramas, plenty of rock scrambling, hairy ladder descents and a couple of epic suspension bridges. 6 hours of hiking heaven and jaw-dropping views await you!

The ferry journey from Tongyeong alone is spectacular enough to warrant a visit, but get up on the ridge and bag yourself 4 peaks and you'll be in awe.

Make a weekend of it and stay over at a pension at Daehang Beach. The next day, take the scenic route along the newly completed coastal path leading back to the ferry terminal.
