The lasted #BestOf in the #remasters series of #EightballRecords is dedicated to the legendary production duo #MoodIISwing ( #JohnCiafone & #LemSpringsteen ) and presents its best known work. The duo formed in ’92 when they were discovered by #LouieVega ( #MastersAtWork ). They released under a few different names ( #ChronicSounds , #ClubKidds , #FullSwing , #Urbanized ) and also released a few solo productions and #remixes.
Following the success of the excellent " #StrictlyMoodIISwing " on #Defected we are focusing on their earlier hits that defined their sound.
Currently on tour all over the world we celebrate this duo with newly mastered sound.
#MannyCuevas aka #DJM-TRAXXX is #EightballRecords choice for this live #DJMix following his fab LIVE #DJMixes of #LouieBalo and Eightball 1+2 compilations. Manny quickly became a force for pushing the burgeoning sound of #ChicagoHouse and #DetroitTechno at parties, on the airwaves, through his radio shows #WPRK91.5FM and through productions. Expanding beyond showcasing himself, he'd host many world renowned DJs and producers throughout the years with guests like #CarlCraig , #RoyDavisJr ., #ArmandVanHelden , #DJSneak , #DJDuke and #DJPierre . Manny was a feature himself on terrestrial radio in #Miami and #NewYork , as well as worldwide online radio stations. On the production and label side of things, Manny played an integral role in helping the infamous #WildPitch creator and acid house inventor DJ Pierre get his #AfroAcid Digital label off the ground as head A&R. A highlight year for DJ M-TRAXXX, 2009 saw him remixing #LouieVega , #DJPierre , and his mentor #JuniorVasquez. He would also earn his way onto Vasquez's " #GenerationNext " compilation on #TommyBoyRecord /Silver Label. Two years later his original production " #HouseThunda " was included in Snuff Crew's benefit compilation #SnuffTrax for Japan. Manny Cuevas' productions have seen support from #RobertOwens ,
#FarleyJackMasterFunk , #RoyDavisJr ., #TyreeCooper , and, of course, #DJPierre and #JuniorVasquez . Support has also come direct from modern mainstays as diverse as Hercules and Love Affair, with DJ-MTRAXXX sitting atop Andy Butler's chart to close out 2014.
