Danny Denzongpa speaks about B. R. Chopra. He says, " I met with Mr. Chopra in 1969 or 70 at that time he had done many films and I was a film student so in the final year examination he came as an examiner and after the examination, he called me and he encouraged me and said that you are a different type of actor, you are very natural and after your course if you come to Bombay I will give you a role. That was a big thing for me because B. R. Chopra is B. R. Chopra and incidentally I told him that time the very first movie that I have seen is yours 'Naya Daur'. Then I came down to Bombay and Chopra was making a film called Dastan with Dilip Kumar and he said that there is no role in this film but I will call you if there is any but in the meantime keep struggling and keep meeting with industry people. He planned 'Dhun' after 'Dastan' and an assistant came to me and said that B. R. Chopra had asked for you."

Danny Denzongpa speaks about his role in the film 'Indian'. He says, "I don't have that kind of attachment with any role I take it as a work but I do it sincerely. I always think that whatever I do, I do it with all my dedication within my limitations I try to do my best."

"I have done many films with Dharam Ji in 70's and 80's I consider him as my elder brother. When I was offered the film Indian I wanted to know what I was doing in the film so they send me a cassette of a South Indian film as Indian is a remake of that particular film. I saw that film and I liked it and I requested them to have a beard in the film and they agreed and he told the director to finish the film in four months."
