In a joint press briefing held on Thursday, the 22nd of August 2024, the Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Mr. Charles Ebuebu informed the public that the President has released the sum of 10 billion naira to digitalize broadcasting in Nigeria making it possible for content to be accessed centrally, creating more opportunities for producers and great convenience for consumers.

Also present was the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida who voiced his support and partnership with the NBC.
