Human rights campaigners have condemned the Philippines first execution in 23 years.

Leo Echegaray, who was convicted of raping his 10 year old stepdaughter, was given a lethal injection on Friday.

He was the first to die out of 915 people who have been sentenced to death since 1994, when the Philippines restored the death penalty.
