In a major breakthrough, Nankana police have arrested the leader of a notorious dacoit gang along with two accomplices following the directives of DPO Nankana, Faraz Ahmed. According to police sources, the operation was conducted by Thana Sadar Nankana Police, who successfully apprehended the suspects using advanced technology. The arrested individuals have been identified as Aftab alias Tabi, Irfan alias Kala, and Sohail. During the operation, the police recovered cash and weapons from the possession of the accused. Preliminary investigation has revealed the gang’s involvement in at least 20 robbery incidents across the district. DPO Faraz Ahmed stated that the investigation is ongoing and more revelations are expected. He reaffirmed that criminal elements cannot escape the law, and that the safety of citizens’ lives, property, and honour remains the top priority of Nankana police.
