If you're looking for what to do in Georgia join us on this episode of our USA travel vlog as we head to Helen, GA to experience a German American Oktoberfest at The Heidelberg and King Ludwig’s Beer Garden. These are very popular locations in Helen, GA and folks sometimes line up to get in these spots. The Heidelberg and King Ludwig’s Beer Garden are located on the Main Street Square in Helen, GA at 8660 North Main Street which is about 8.5 hours and 554 miles away from the New Orleans French Quarter. Helen, GA is known for having one of the largest celebrations of Oktoberfest in the USA and The Heidelberg & King Ludwig’s Beer Garden definitely get into that Oktoberfest spirit. The Heidelberg originally opened as The Forge in 1977 and then in 1980 was changed to the The Old Heidelberg until after several ownership changes the restaurant was renamed in 2018 to The Heidelberg.
