3M Trizact Gator Belts for knife making

I give the Gator belts from Gameco a run from lowest to highest grit to see the finish you will achieve with the range of belts.

A65CF = 240 grit
A45CF = 400 grit
A30CF = 600 grit

Belts give a good satin finish by themselves but can also be a good primer to begin hand sanding if you want to progress higher with hand sanding.

Large amount of abrasive on the belts means they go forever and ridges through the belt help keep the material and belt cool. It is important not to let the abrasive soak from water on the blade or it may begin to break down. Only for use on steel, will probably be very short lived on soft material like timber/ rubber / plastics.
