How to Capture a Game Screen on Streamlabs OBS (Easy Tutorial)

To capture a game screen in Streamlabs OBS, you have a few options. Let me walk you through them:

Game Capture Source (Auto Mode):
Streamlabs OBS now offers an Automatic Game Capture feature. This means you no longer need to manually update your game capture source every time you play a new game.
Here’s how to use it:

Add a game capture source to your scene (or change your existing game capture source to Auto mode).
Now, when you start a game, Streamlabs OBS will automatically detect and broadcast it to your live stream. You won’t have to adjust source properties anymore.

This method is recommended for capturing game sources because other methods like display capturing can inadvertently display private information on stream.
Manual Game Capture:

If you prefer manual control, follow these steps:
Open Streamlabs Desktop.

Click the plus sign in the sources section to add a new source.
Select Screen Capture as the source type.
