Baatuli "the story of Homecoming" is a Kumaoni short film which reflects the sad truth about unemployment and migration in Uttarakhand. The story is about the current scenario of Corona pandemic where everyone is rushing towards their home. The locked & abandoned homes are now ready to open because at the end its your place which never disown you.
The story revolves around the main character Harish who is home after ages, just because of Corona Pandemic. He is also currently jobless just like his friends in village. He then realizes the need to change the life of his unemployed friends and think of small startup which drastically changed the life of his friends and family. The story also shows how self employment will also help in reverse migration in hills.

The whole shooting of film is done in Paganna village of Pithoragarh, in minimum resources with a budget of 2500 INR.
