Poisoning the Well - Episode 24: On September 20, 2016, YouTube posted a video announcing their new “YouTube Heroes” program. This program gives participants the ability to work within a point structure that leads to them being able to moderate YouTube communities as they see fit. Mass flagging of videos as well as deleting and flagging comments on any channel being the most powerful of the available tools. YouTube Heroes are unpaid and serve to do a job that YouTube does not want to hire actual employees to do. This leads many content creators to fear that the system could be abused by these new moderators.

It is into this hostile environment that PhatPat and So Fain boldly go... Not as critics of the system but as champions of the people. We purge to Make YouTube Great Again. #YTHeroes
