How to Grow Onions Over the Winter

Did you know onions can be grown over the winter in many areas?
This video- 'How to Grow Onions over the Winter' shows how I overwintered onions started from seed in Zone 6, for a jump start on the harvest.
I share the process I used- detailing from seed to harvest, as well as sharing tips for optimal results, including some of the best varieties to grow for overwintering.

'Winteria' onions grown over the winter beat my spring planted onions to harvest by over 2 weeks.
Onions were started from seed at the beginning of August, transplanted in September and covered with frost cloth through the winter.
