Ingredient Required
For the Dosa :
2 cups of Rice (sona masoori or inexpensive basmati works fine)
1 cup of urad daal (split matpe beans)
Chana dal (optional)
Methi seeds (optional)

For the Masala do Pyaza:
Oil, 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon
Cumin, 1 teaspoon
Chana Dal, 1 tbsp
Urad Dal,1 tbsp
green chilies, 3 slit
curry leaves, 5/6
ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tbsp
turmeric, 1 teaspoon
onion, half, sliced
salt, as per taste
coriander powder, 1 teaspoon
potatoes, 2 medium sized, diced.

Notes:
1.I made Dosa Batter using the Instant Pot Ace and I fermented the batter using Instant Pot. Same recipe can be used with different blenders/mixers/grinders.

2.I then made "masala" for the dosa using the Instant Pot.The masala is also called Aloo do pyaaza.

3.I used the PIP function of the Instant pot to pressure cook the potatoes. Its possible to pressure cook the potatoes directly but I wanted the masala to have a dry consistency devoid of moisture and thats easier to do using PIP.

4.Only SMALL batches should be fermented in the IP.Large batches might overflow/clog the IP.

5. The dosas made in this video: Plain, Masala, Karam Podi, Onion and Chocolate.
