Ban Mian (板面) and Mee Hoon Kueh (面粉粿) or Hand Torn Noodles by Boon's Noodles are popular Must Try Singapore Street Food! With their origins from the early Hakka and Hokkien immigrants, they are some of the oldest traditional handmade noodles in Singapore. They have become one of the Best Hawker Food in Singapore. And as a Chinese cuisine many Singaporeans grew up with, most of them will tell you their grandmothers make the Best Ban Mian in town and they are not lying!

Today, not many Singapore street food stalls prepare Ban Mian the traditional way. But at Boon's Noodles hawker stall, we prepare the Ban Mian recipe as grandmothers would. That is, kneading wheat flours into doughs and then cutting them into Ban Mian (板面 flat noodles), Mee Hoon Kueh (面粉粿 hand torn noodles) and You Mian (幼面 thin noodles). Noodles are made fresh daily for the al dente texture. The Ban Mian are then cooked in our flavourful broth into bowls of piping hot noodles upon orders.

The Must Eat Boon's Noodles are served with our flavorful broth or savoury dry with our Special Black Sauce. The broth is cooked overnight for its umami sweetness. Together with freshly made ingredients - 'onsen' eggs, fried ikan bilis (anchovies), braised shitake mushrooms, pork lard, shallots oil, special tangy chili sauce - Boon's Noodles aims to serve up UMAMI packed noodles with nostalgic flavours!

When ordering at the Boon's Noodles hawker stall, you can select between these toppings - **Sliced Fish, **Peeled Shrimps, **Seafood, **Broccoli+Tomatoes, **Spicy Tom Yam, **Minced Pork! A bowl of Boon's Noodles ranges from SGD$3.50 to SGD$5.50. Additional ingredients are also available from SGD$0.50 to SGD$1.00 each.
