In 2012, the English adaptation of Rebecca the Musical went down in flames in a story wilder than any Hitchcock film. Mysterious investors, sudden deaths, the world’s best salad dressing — the scandal had it all.

Eleven years later, one theater in London is trying to pick up the pieces to give the English adaptation a second life.

This is that story.
