Gorgeous Chalcedony! Hunting for Colorful Plumey Chalcedony and Velvety Fibrous Calcite!

In this one, we make a slight detour during a weekend trip to Yellowstone Park to make a few rockhounding pit stops! First we stop at a site for extremely unique red velvet calcite, a very unique exposure that produces chatoyant deep red fibrous calcite! On our way back to town we hit up another location for extremely colorful chalcedony! I was not expecting to get such great results! The amount of color variation and plume pattern in these rocks absolutely blew me away, and i can not wait to see what kind of cabochons they are going to produce! I hope you all enjoy this one, and I will have another one out soon!
