- Performers:
Orquesta Barroca Simón Bolívar (Caracas/Venezuela), permanent guest conductor: Michael Form
- Venue and date:
Caracas, Teresa Carreño Theatre, March 21, 5 p.m.
- Organizer:
Fundación Musical Simón Bolívar (El Sistema)

The composition is based on the 2nd movement "Andante con moto" of the Great Symphony in C major by Franz Schubert (D 944):
"My work uses musical elements (themes/motifs) from the Schubert movement and creates new inner connections with them. When I was composing it, I had in mind a ride in a horse-drawn carriage (or a walk) through the Vienna Prater on a warm, sunny, but also windy spring day, an image that I always have inside when I hear this Schubert movement.
After the quiet prologue (a delicate wind melody that quotes and expands on a bar from Schubert's score), you may also hear in your mind (when the regular marching rhythm of the Schubert score begins in the strings) the light trotting of the carriage horses on this bright, warm day when - in the moving middle section of the composition - a fresh, stormy spring wind blows through the trees. The piece then slowly calms down again.
It is composed in such a way that natural horns and natural trumpets can be used. Here in Caracas, however, modern valve horns and trumpets are playing."
