URGENT SAFETY CONCERN: This video documents dangerous conditions on Wildcat Road in Saline County, Missouri, near the school bus stop at 26550 Wildcat Road, Marshall, MO 65340.
What This Video Shows:

Drive-through footage showing the hill and blind curve approaching the school bus stop
Point-of-view from the bus stop looking up the road where vehicles crest the hill
Complete absence of speed limit signs on gravel portion of Wildcat Road
Limited sight distance for drivers approaching at illegal speeds (50-55+ mph)
The dangerous position where children exit the school bus twice daily during school days

The Problem:

NO posted speed limit signs on gravel section (legal limit is 45 mph by Missouri state law)
Vehicles regularly exceeding 50-55 mph in area where children cross road
School bus stops just past hill/curve with limited visibility
148 pedestrian deaths in Missouri in 2024 - highest ever recorded (16% increase)
Active livestock operations (cattle, goats) and high deer populations create additional hazards

What We're Asking:
Official letters have been sent to Saline County Commission, Highway Department, Sheriff's Office, and Missouri State Highway Patrol requesting:

Immediate installation of 45 mph speed limit signs
School bus stop warning signs
Livestock/deer crossing signs
Traffic study and increased enforcement
