EP 145 The Donnas - Take It Off

"Take It Off" was the lead single from The Donna's major label debut (and fifth album overall), 2003's "Spend the Night". The song was written by all four members of the band ( Brett Anderson, Torry Castellano, Maya Ford and Allison Robertson) and the bass player was Maya Ford (aka Donna F). The song peaked at Number 19 on the Billboard Modern Rock Chart and Number 62 in the Billboard 200.

The bass part was recorded into Reason on a single track and then processed using Reason's Master Bus Compressor to control the dynamics and then the "Tape" preset from the Retromatic Transformer rack extension was used to provide a tape saturation effect.
