I spent the last two years growing out my gray hair as part of my gray hair transition. My silver hair--while part of a growing trend--is still somewhat unusual out in the world, and attracts a lot of comments. The comments are mostly good, but every once in a while I receive one that is meant to make me feel bad. I share these comments and my thoughts about them to increase transparency and connection between us. I truly believe self-acceptance can lead to greater acceptance of others and is the key to peace here on earth.
