Cycling the Beautiful 1000 Islands Waterfront Trail

The 1000 Islands section of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail in Eastern Ontario is one of the nicest sections of this trail system. The 40 kilometer section runs from Gananoque (in the west) to Mallorytown (in the east). The Trail is completely off road and smoothly paved which makes for a great day on the bike with views of the St. Lawrence River and the many Islands along this section. Cycling along this section also has you slicing through the southernmost section of the Canadian Shield offering many beautiful rock outcroppings as well as some great hiking.
In this video I will take along this scenic route giving you views of the 1000 Islands, we cruise through the lovely village of Rockport and end up in the river for a swim. #1000islands #greatlakeswaterfronttrail #cycling #1000islandstrail
