This was a highly underrated RTS game, a clone of Warcraft 2, which had its weak moments, namely the voice acting was mostly bad and AI was stupid, and alot of it felt like an attempt to rip off Warcraft 2 and capitalise on it's success...

But it had its very good sides two, which did not come in to shine because the game was not that popular.

Your units could gain XP, wear items and you could save your units into an "army" file you could later use to recruit them into other missions

Each unit was upgraded separately, which allowed to create units with different speciality (if you couldnt afford to up them all)

Each subsequent unit of a kind (ex. Bowman) costed more than previous one, which made you go for diversified armies, combining different kind of units

It had a very good level editor and a vast variety of scenarios, from walking through a dungeon to standart RTS style "build a base and kill em all"
Units had very different kind of abilities for a game that old, for example, laying bombs, hidden traps, different kind of spells (poison enemy food source for example), create mana or health potions for your army, knights had a once-in-a-while ranged attack etc
But most of all, very Beatiful positive music tracks, which i would like to share with you! This beats Warcraft 2 in my opinion which had nicely done, but midi-format tracks, while this game had Digital CD music that even nowadays sounds great.
