On her first outing after overhaul, JB1236 heads the Tangiwai Express, enroute to the 7 May unveiling of the Charles Parker and Lance Redman Memorial. The train is around 60min late as we join it approaching Utiku. The loco begins to struggle with the load & stiff grade out of Taihape and eventually needs assistance in getting to its destination
