In the heart of the old city, there lies a narrow, twisting alley known as Whispering Alley. Locals avoid it after dark, but few can resist the curiosity that its eerie reputation ignites. Legend has it that the alley is haunted by the spirit of a young woman who met a tragic end there many years ago.

One night, a skeptical journalist named Mark decided to investigate the rumors for a story. Armed with nothing but a flashlight and a tape recorder, he ventured into the alley at midnight. The air grew colder with each step, and a strange mist began to rise from the cobblestones.

Suddenly, whispers echoed through the alley, too faint to understand but undeniably present. Mark's flashlight flickered, and he felt a chill run down his spine. He raised his recorder to capture the sounds, but the whispers grew louder, turning into desperate pleas for help.

Terrified, Mark turned to leave, but the mist had thickened, obscuring his path. The last thing he saw before everything went dark was the shadowy figure of a woman reaching out to him.

Mark was found the next morning at the entrance of the alley, unconscious and clutching his recorder. The tape played nothing but static, but Mark swore he would never return to Whispering Alley.
