Kayak Trailer Build Modification Upgrade Custom DIY PVC bunks hauling Kayaks

The Ultimate custom Kayak trailer!! Are you thinking about building a trailer for your kayak, but aren't sure where to start? Maybe I can help with a few ideas. I took an old boat trailer and converted it into the ultimate custom Kayak trailer. It will haul four kayaks. The 3" PVC pipe makes it easy to load and unload your kayak. I drug the old boat trailer out of the weeds. I used a 4 inch wire brush grinder to remove the old paint and rust from the frame. I used some aluminum tread plate to fabricate fenders and steps, and added slotted unistrut across the frame to mount the 3 inch PVC pipe to act as runners for the kayaks to rest on. I painted the frame with 2X cover spray cans from Wal-Mart. I found some 15 inch wheels and mounted a couple lower profile tires. The kayak tree is made from 1.5 inch square tubing, the pieces were cut at about a 10 degree angle and then I welded the tree to a piece of angle iron and bolted it to the two center struts of the frame. I added LED tail lights and a trailer dolly to finish off the trailer
