God of War (2018) is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on April 20, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, and for PC.
God of War (2018) reimagines the legendary PlayStation series with a new setting, tone, and gameplay style. Moving away from Greek mythology, the story now takes place in the Norse world of Midgard. Players control Kratos, the former Spartan warrior, who now lives in the realm of Norse gods with his young son, Atreus.

After the death of his wife Faye, Kratos and Atreus set out on a journey to fulfill her final wish — to spread her assessment from the highest peak of all the realms. Along the way, they face deadly creatures, gods, and personal struggles.
Kratos must teach Atreus to survive in a harsh world while keeping his own violent past hidden. Their bond is tested as they encounter figures from Norse mythology, such as Baldur, Freya, and the World Serpent (Jörmungandr).

Gameplay
Over-the-shoulder camera gives a cinematic and intimate feel.
Kratos wields the Leviathan Axe, a magical weapon that can be thrown and recalled like a boomerang.
