Playthrough with the Women Fighters team. KoF '99 marks the start of the Nests saga, and makes a lot of changes. The main difference is that you now select a team of four characters, and one character can be selected as your "striker". Strikers are assist characters who can be called on a limited amount of times per fight, and will usually do an attack when summoned.

The choice between the advanced and extra modes from the previous two games have been removed, and replaced with the counter and armor modes. The way super moves work has also been altered, as now when the health bar is flashing red, any super moves done during this time will be the powered up versions.

Krizalid is the only boss in this game, but he has two forms. His first form isn’t too hard to beat, usually if you keep doing super jump C&D attacks that’s all you need. His second form is much more difficult, he obviously has a lot of powerful moves and can get his super gauge maxed out really quickly.

You can fight either Iori or Kyo at the end by getting a certain amount of battle ability points. The battle ability points were something else new to this game, I think you get more points if you win fights quickly. I don't really understand how the points work, sometimes they go down even if you beat the enemy team with just one character.
