If the device is within the zone, its location is updated in the central database. This ensures that notifications and alerts are sent only to people in the impacted area, making the system faster, more efficient, and highly scalable.

In disaster scenarios where internet or mobile networks may be unavailable, the application leverages a Bluetooth mesh network. This feature allows nearby devices to stay connected with each other, forming a peer-to-peer network. If even one device in the mesh has access to the internet, it can relay location data to the rescue team on behalf of the others.

If no internet connection is available at all, the app still enables users to view each other’s locations on a map within the application. This allows people in the community to assist one another directly, while rescue teams in the vicinity can also identify and reach out to those in need.
