ExecMode™ — we're damn good at solving hard technical problems. Making Windows® games and apps work seamlessly on Linux® (and a lot of that work with Wine) for the Steam Deck is one of the most difficult technical challenges we've ever had.

Working with Valve, our ExecMode™ developers, developed Proton, the compatibility layer that allows Windows® games to run on the Steam Deck’s Linux-based operating system, SteamOS

We celebrate the release of the Steam Deck by showcasing our game developing wiccan magic in this tech demo. See games like Forza Horizon 5, Read Dead Redemption 2, DOOM, and Skyrim run on Valve's Steam Deck with Proton.
