What's good, everyone?! Today's video brings me out to Hilton Head, SC. I've grown to love Hilton Head for its tourism and attractions, environment, and overall cozy feeling. While most of the area sees many people and much business, some small parts don't. One such example was the BI-LO supermarket on Pope Avenue in Hilton Head, SC. BI-LO was a chain of grocery stores primarily operated in the southern region of the United States. The chain's parent company was Southeastern Grocers. They saw that the chain was continuing to lose money, and in April 2021, they ultimately decided to end its operations. After 60 years, the company was nothing more than a memory. I hadn't initially realized that my first video was filmed about a month after the store had closed. In this video, all of the lights had been turned off, and all of the fixtures were removed. I have not seen any information about possible redevelopment, and as for now, it remains abandoned.
