After two wedding postponements (one after their original wedding venue was forced to shut down and another because of COVID-19), De-Shazo didn’t want to spend another day without being married to the love of his life, Jacarra!

On Memorial Day, the groom surprised his bride with an intimate ceremony at the @treasuryontheplaza. The bride had no idea until about an hour before the ceremony! She thought she was going to St. Augustine to walk around town and celebrate what today would have been. Instead, De-Shazo got down on one knee (again!) and asked if she would be his bride THAT DAY!

Surrounded by an intimate group of family and friends, these two finally became Man and Wife. Photos of friends and family who couldn't be with them adorned the ceremony chairs. Guests were also able to tune in to a live-stream of the ceremony on Facebook. -
After the ceremony, the couple headed outside to the Plaza de la Constitucion for their first dance. A car parade comprised of friends and family circled the downtown landmark, wishing congratulations and a lifetime of love while the couple danced in the gazebo.

We can't wait for the big wedding ceremony and reception here at The Treasury next year! It's going to be one heck of a party!
