The White House targets Sabrina Carpenter once again, posting a clip of her from SNL on social media after facing backlash for using her song Juno with footage of an ICE raid.  The administration used a snippet from Carpenter’s October Saturday Night Live promo, where she jokingly tells cast member Marcello Hernández that she might arrest someone because they're "too hot.” The edited video replaced the phrase “too hot” with “illegal,” and then played a series of clips showing ICE arrests. The caption on the White House's X post states, “PSA: If you’re a criminal illegal, you WILL be arrested & deported.”  Carpenter condemned the first video earlier in the week. The pop star called it “evil and disgusting” and demanded that her music never be used to support what she described as an immoral political message. She wrote, "Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda." Carpenter joins a growing list of artists who have pushed back against their work appearing in White House content.  Shortly after Carpenter spoke out, Abigail Jackson (White House Deputy Press Secretary) issued a scathing statement. She doubled down and said that they would not apologize for ICE's actions. She explained how they were doing the right thing by deporting violent criminals from the country. She then essentially insulted the singer's intelligence, implying that she was "stupid" or "slow" for disagreeing with her.  Carpenter isn't the only musician whose work was used in White House posts without their permission. Recently, Kenny Loggins and Olivia Rodrigo slammed the Trump Administration for its offensive use of their music.  An AI-generated video used Loggins' “Danger Zone” without permission. This song accompanied a vulgar video of Donald Trump throwing human waste on No Kings protesters. Despite demanding the recording be removed, the clip remains on the President of the United States' Truth Social account.  Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo blasted both Trump and the Department of Homeland Security for featuring “All-American Bitch” in a self-deportation video. She said the post was “racist” and “hateful." The singer also demanded that the content be removed as well. Sabrina Carpenter Birthdate May 11
