After over 4 and a half months of (almost) constant grinding, I'm proud to say I've finally beaten Flamewall. Ever since the day OneAlphaHelix started verifying it was a dream of mine to one day beat this level, and I'm so incredibly grateful I was able to make that dream come true. Special thank you to; NZGD, Mealy, the Flamewallers server, my family, my friends and all of my supporters who were here to witness and experience this journey with me. You all mean the world to me!!

Flamewall is a very, very odd level to play - or atleast for me it was. Near the start of the grind things were pretty simple; I was building consistency and learning all of the parts and things were going realy smoothly. However, once I started to progress further and further, it felt so unbelievably difficult to maintain consistency, even to the point where sometimes in the grind it felt fully luck based whether or not I was going to be able to do good that day. Before I got 68%, this wasn't really a problem, and I didn't notice it until I got my 68% run. After that things started slowing down a LOT. I got 39-100 a couple weeks after and then Zoink started playing soon after that. His quick progress gave me a motivation boost to compete and I actually ended up getting 69% and 72% after he tied my best of 68%! After he beat it though, I stopped playing as much as I used to, and I would barely make any progress until I fluked to 93%. I went on holiday soon after that and then wanted to just relax so I didn't play much flamewall in January but when I fully returned to it progress was better than ever. I got 24-100 very soon after returning, and I also got 88% shortly after. It was at this point where all of my sessions started showing actual consistency and I would get to 55% almost every single day, with very recent grinds even getting atleast 1 or more 74% attempts!! I knew I was close and it was only a matter of time before the day actually came, and yesterday it did. First pauseless victor too!! :D

Let's talk about the gameplay. Flamewall, for a top 2 level, has absolutely INCREDIBLE gameplay. It was fun to learn, and once I had learnt it it was even more fun to actually play. Parts like 0-18, 21-24, and 47-52 I found to be a lot harder than the rest, but besides that most of the level got very consistent and I never got bored of playing the raw gameplay. Obviously, the difficulty of the gameplay isn't too hard - I usually compare it to stuff like verdant landscape or atleast around that difficulty - but with nerves it's completely different, and the nerves on this level are unlike anything I've ever experienced. It made me think I would die at 99% for as long as time could tell and I'm so glad I was able to break the curse. While a lot of the time I did feel quite bored and/or exhausted playing this level, it never made me hate it. Not one bit. This level is still genuinely amazing and it's easily one of my favourites in the game. To anybody who tries this level; best of luck, especially to iliLaserili and the rest of the Flamewallers server. :)
