Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is defined by its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland and world's northernmost capital, is a vibrant, walkable city of 139,000 inhabitants, serving as the cultural heart and primary hub for exploring Iceland's dramatic nature. Top attractions include the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church, Harpa Concert Hall, geothermal pools (like Laugardalslaug), and the Laugavegur shopping street. Famous Rainbow Street is full of unique and interesting shops. The street is striped in rainbow colours as a sign of joy and support for diversity.

Hallgrimskirkja - Look up at the unique curved facade and expansive side wings of Hallgrimskirkja, a 74.5-meter-tall Lutheran Church set in the city’s centre. Climb to the top of the clock tower for panoramic views of Reykjavik’s iconic monuments and colourful buildings.

Blue Lagoon

This famous Iceland lagoon is a manmade geothermally heated spa, which is located on the Reykjanes Peninsula – around 50 minutes from Reykjavik. It was founded in 1981 and quickly became one of Iceland's most popular tourist attractions. The lagoon's milky waters are rich in minerals and help soothe skin conditions.

Golden Circle Tour

The Golden Circle tour has a local guide and passengers will visit the famous ‘Thingvellir’ national park; the oldest parliament in the world, and place where you can see the gap between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, and you will walk between them during your stop there. You will also visit ‘Gullfoss’, or the ‘Golden Waterfalls’, one of the largest and most powerful waterfalls in Iceland. Perhaps in a different visiting order, but of course you will also go the famous Geysir, where you will see the Icelandic hot springs in action. Gullfoss Waterfall

The Gullfoss Waterfall is fed by the powerful Hvita River, which originates from the Langjokull Glacier. The water flows through Iceland’s rugged landscape before dramatically plunging over the two-tiered cascade.

Gullfoss is made up of two distinct stages: the first drop is 36 feet (11 meters), followed by a second, larger plunge of 69 feet (21 meters). Together, these stages create an incredible display of nature’s power.

Flanked by towering canyon walls that reach up to 230 feet (70 meters) high, Gullfoss plunges into the majestic Gullfossgjufur Canyon. This deep ravine, geologists believe, was formed by violent glacial floods at the end of the last ice age.
