I've been dealing with wax moths forever, they will ruin a hive. They lay their eggs in the frames of comb in a beehive, the wax moth larva hatch, and eat the pollen remnants in the cells. They make a huge mess. If a hive is weak or dying, the honeybees cannot keep up with the wax moths sneaking into the beehive.
