RUPAK, the most prominent gifted disciple of Guru Shri Deepak Mazumdar, one of the most talented students, having learnt Acting , Dance [ Bharatnatyam ]and Indian percussion[Tabla] since last ten years and has sound training both in practical and theoretical aspects. In short, he is an all rounder in the field of Acting , Dance[Bharatnatyam]and Indan percussion[Tabla].Rupak is a versatile accomplished artist. He has a natural flair towards music and dance.
As a young boy he enrolled to learn Bharatnatyam, at Darpana Academy under renowned Guru Smt.Mallika Sarabhai for almost 6 yrs.Later he did his "Arangetram" under the guidance of shri Chandan Thakor and Ilakshiben Thakor in "Nritya-Bharti".
He then moved to Mumbai for further learning under the tutelage ,DEEPAK MAZUMDAR (his DADDU) renowned exponent. Bharatnatyam. In the year 1999.
Rupak has done B. A. With English Lit. , Diploma in Natya-Shastra and wants to take BHARATNATAM as his main field and also would like to explore vocal and mastering playing instrument TABLA., which he has a natural gift of God.To promote the rich heritage of INDIA.
He also has the natural flair for choreography. He also has been specially trained in the art of Natuvangum [ Playing of the symbols] while conducting the dance programme, Being gifted with a good personality, he also has performed the lead role along with his Guru and in solo.
He has also done the led role in the film made by Swami Narayan [B.A.P.S] IMAX FILM directed by Keith Melton from U.S. , a very well known director and cinematography done by Reed Smooth which was released all over the world. For the premier of the film he was invited to LONDON for the Royal Show and has the privilege to meet The Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall who were the Guests of Honour at the function.
He also had the opportunity to perform more than 13 countries in the world popularizing the divinity and the culture of India.He is highly qualified in comparison to his very young.
He also was graced by his spiritual leader HDH PRAMUKH SWAMI , There religious Head of B. A. P. S. , He was also blessed to tour along with Bapa almost all over the world.
His performances have high acclaim from top critics and art lovers. Hehas won several awards and honors. , traveling extensively in and outside INDIA.
He wants to promote and teach while performing BHARATNATYAM. Serving this culture through an holistic approach giving special meaning and emphasis to this divine art form.
