Profiling a building's daily energy consumption across different electricity networks based on stream clustering.
Seasonal patterns emerge naturally as well as profiles corresponding to specific situations (such as a lockdown). Profile labels and descriptions are produced automatically. The white markers indicate outliers. A different color indicates an overall different consumption profile.
This data set belongs to a restaurant in the north of Portugal and it’s clear that we have two profiles: winter and summer. However it’s curious that after March 15th, when the lockdown started, it begun several daily outliers, which turned out to a new energy profile. When the lockdown finished, on May 4th, we can easily perceive that another energy profile emerged.
