A trickster, elegantly dressed as a nobleman, is trying to take something from the mouth of a man in order to impress his audience. Another two men, after the supposed cure, feel ill; one vomits and the other is seated with his head bowed. The comment in the Prado Manuscript is very explicit: "In all sciences there are tricksters, who without having studied a word know it all, and find a solution for everything. One should not trust what they say. The truly wise man always distrusts success; he promises little and achieves much; but Count Palatine achieves nothing of what he promises."
