PWC SUPERFINAL X | Task 1 - microclimates

After a night of heavy rain, today started off looking anything but promising. However, as Hans Gudmundsson put it, perfect task setting for the conditions, led to a valid 57.5 km task avoiding the rain showers.

As Eli Egger summed it up, ‘This place has got so many micro climates it’s unbelievable.’

The three turn point task gave the pilots a mix of flat land and mountainous terrain to explore.

With constantly changing leaders, the task was anyone’s until the very end. Well done to the 42 who made goal. And commiserations to the 35 who nearly made goal.

However, no matter where you landed, as Joachim Oberhauser very correctly summed it up, ‘that was hot work.’

A great start to what promises to be an amazing 10th Super Final.
