Finding fundamentally good stocks is something anyone can learn. The key is to find companies which are healthy and profitable with a good growth outlook.

Over a significantly long period of time, if the performance of the companies continues to stay healthy, that may lead to appreciation in its stock price. Some industries may experience rapid growth, some might be slow and within industries, some stock may do exceptionally well and some may do less well compared to others.

The key to becoming a good "logical" investor is in understanding these dynamics and to remember that Rome was not built in a day, and it needs good research and understanding of the companies to be a good investor.
