"Hey everyone! In our last video, we learned how to create a dynamic attendance sheet. But what if we want to automatically highlight Saturdays and Sundays?

If you're still manually coloring them one by one, that's too slow and won't update automatically. Let's fix that!

Select the column with your data.
Go to the top and find Conditional Formatting.
Click on New Rule.
Choose the last option
Now, type in the WEEKDAY() function here.
Press F4 to switch to relative referencing—this means the row stays fixed, but the column can move.
Since weekends have higher numbers than the first five days, set it to Greater than 5.
Click Format, pick your favorite color, and hit OK.
And that's it! Now when you change the month or year, the weekend colors will automatically follow along. Pretty cool, right? 😊"
